Estimation and Active Damping
from Gusts and Loads

Mechatronic systems in modern aircrafts reduce structural loads in critical flight situations, increase passengers’ comfort and reduce operation costs.

We have contributed to the development of such systems since more than a decade. Among these are algorithms for active reduction of structural loads due to gusts as well as controls for active damping of comfort reducing oscillations. By means of our validated algorithms for computer-based calculation and monitoring of structural loads, maintenance actions can be conducted more targeted.
